Another area in which PSL Engineering display its technical expertise is Bullet Proofing of vehicles. Bullet proofing of Maruti Gypsy, Allwyn Nissan and other vehicles in undertaken by PSLO under a MOU with PSL and DRDO, Ministry of Defence. For Bullet Proofing, the outer skin of the vehicle is replaced by special bullet proof steel plates 5mm / 6 mm thick and the glass panes are replaced by 5mm thick bullet proof glass. To accommodate the increased weight due to heavier bullet proof sheet and glass, the existing suspension and the shock absorber are replaced by heavy duty suspension and shock absorber. Bullet proofing was undertaken for Vehicle Research Development Establishment, Ahmednagar and Air Force, New Delhi and private organizations.
